Projects that genuinely transform operating environments

Let’s build new ways of working together — with impact and courage.

KIPI develops solutions to critical bottlenecks

KIPI’s projects tackle the bottlenecks that slow down the progress of the circular economy: real challenges identified in the field that require concrete, practical solutions. Each project is built on the principles of impact and continuity. They are not isolated experiments but part of long‑term development where one project lays the foundation for the next.

Our goal is to generate new knowledge and to test and pilot solutions that help companies advance their circular‑economy practices. By combining expertise and ideas, we can solve circular‑economy challenges and create operating models that strengthen competitiveness, reshape operating environments, and enable sustainable transformation.

Urban Mining

Turning the building stock into a resource
The construction sector in Finland generates roughly 35% of all waste and one‑third of greenhouse‑gas emissions. The new URBAN MINING: Turning the Building Stock into a Resource project examines the reuse potential of buildings scheduled for demolition and how this information can support emission‑reduction efforts.

Want to develop the circular economy together with KIPI?

KIPI is interested in new circular‑economy projects and partnership opportunities that support the growth of the circular economy in Pirkanmaa and align with our key themes: the built environment and industrial materials. We can also participate in national and international projects, as long as their results can be applied and implemented within the Pirkanmaa region.

Do you have a circular‑economy project in mind? Tell us — and let’s make it a reality together.
